81. When overwhelmed ask yourself, “Will this even be an issue in 5 years time?”
82. Not everything is as bad as it seems
83. Cultivate and nurture friendships. With love and care they can last a lifetime. At the same time don’t be afraid to edit friendships.
84. You are enough just as you are. Perfect in your imperfections
85. Learn to accept compliments. Say “Thank you”

  1. The Walking Dead is the best TV show of all time
  2. Be prepared for anything and everything
  3. Your time in Middle School or Highschool is only a very small part of your education. Take the time to gain experiences and learn whatever you can
  4. Be bold
  5. Learn from your and other people’s mistakes
  6. Every kid may not be going through the same thing as you but they all have uncertainty and fear. Know that you’re not alone
  7. Money, possessions, and a title don’t define you or how good of a person you are. Your heart and your head do.
  8. If you have a passion for something, awesome. Be somewhat pragmatic.
  9. Try to find inspiration in everything

Mr. Aguero’s Words of Wisdom

  1.   A little, or a lot, of hard work is a good thing
  2.   Don’t be afraid to think big; big thought design wonders.
  3.   Don’t be afraid to think small; the details allow the wonders to be built
  4.   Always have a backup plan
  5.   Eat your vegetables
  6.   There’s always going to be someone bigger, stronger and faster than you. Get comfortable with that.
  7.   Trying may stink but you’re never going to know if you can do something if you don’t try.
  8.   “Do or do not. There is no try.” ~ Yoda; meaning, when you do try something new don’t do a half-baked job of it. Give whatever you’re trying all you’ve got.
  9. People are going to tell you that high school or college is the best time of your life. They’re wrong. The best part of your life is largely up to you.

Mr. Aguero’s Words of Wisdom: Volume 2

  1.   Have fun, you don’t always have to be serious
  2.   Be serious when you need to
  3.   All of your teachers want you to succeed. That’s our dirty little secret. Even if your personalities don’t match, we all want the best for you, to be happy and to become functional adults.
  4.   Take ownership of your life. Get up when you have to, get to class, do your homework and do your chores. If you want to have a certain life, taking ownership and not waiting for everyone to do things for you will go a long way.
  5.   Set SMART goals
  6.   Being accountable and responsible will get you far in life,
  7.   Learn from experiences you have.
  8.   Be an active participant in your life, go beyond just going through the motions
  9.   Be funny and silly
  10.   Life is hard and unfair. Get used to it. It’s the same way for everyone. It’s how you manage your life and navigate those choppy waters that will be the real test.

Mr. Aguero’s Words of Wisdom: Volume 1

  1.    It’s OK to be weird. All the best people are.
  2.    You have the sum total of the world’s knowledge at your fingertips. Don’t be afraid to Google it.
  3.    Just be yourself. Everyone else is trying to fit an image. The world would be really boring if everyone was the same.
  4.    If you get knocked down in life (and you will), get up, dust yourself off and ask, “Is that all you’ve got?”
  5.    Your circumstances in life no matter how bad cannot and will not dictate your future. They are obstacles for sure but you can overcome them.
  6.    Those unpleasant circumstances will leave scars. Don’t be afraid of them. Embrace them.  They will give you a point of view and strength of character entirely your own.
  7.    It’s OK to be wrong. Everyone is at various times in their life. What’s important is that you learn from your mistakes.
  8.    When you wrong someone, apologize.
  9.    No matter what the Middle School or High School experience looks like for you, good or bad, it’s only a very short period of time. You have your whole lives ahead of you.
  10. You can make the life you want for yourself.
